According to the piano teacher, Ian Belloso, many students ask what piano lessons cost without defining their goals. I think the same goes for guitar students. After all the value of guitar lessons depends on knowledge and experience of the teacher, and ability of students to set goals with the teacher. If you have well defined goals and a teacher who can tailor their lessons to your goals, then lesson prices will be a bit higher because the value you get is higher.
I believe a good teacher will chart a path with their students to meet their goals. They also invite their students to give them honest feedback on their teaching. These attributes of a teacher add value to their services because guitar teachers who tailor curriculum to their students have to be constantly learning new material, theory and teaching methods themselves.
My lessons are $240/month for 4 lessons, or $60 per lesson. But I have seen lessons range from $30-75.
